Answer

If you are sitting in your house looking at a computer screen and you clicked on this “Will I ever succeed at guitar?” link, then yes, you will succeed at guitar. If you have the slightest determination to succeed at guitar then its as simple as letting that determination do the work. My first guitar teacher told me, “ It takes three things to play guitar... two hands and a guitar”. I know it sounds stupidly simple but all you have to do is get your hands used to the feel of the fret board, the shape of the body and the scratch of the strings. Once you've done that, you're a blank canvas in a world full of paint. All you have to do is decide what kind of music you want to play.

So practice. If you spend three and a half minutes every second day or five hours every day. It is still going to get you the end result of being able to create something magnificent.
